
HOW IT WORKS
We strive to create beautiful yet comfortable spaces and believe design can enhance landscapes. This is the inspiration behind every single home LxW Project takes on.
LxW Project was developed to simplify the overall design & building process. We begin with discussing your dreams, needs, schedule and budget. The next step is to select either The Small, The Medium or The Large . We will adjust the house to take best advantage of existing topography, vegetation and views. We can recommend prefabrication and/or site-built methods for the most efficient and sustainable construction delivery method.
Finalizing the design will take about 1-2 months depending on site and budget planning. Construction of The Small, The Medium or The Large will take 9-12 months. House Construction costs will vary depending on your desired finishes, however, a good range is from $250 - $300/ sq. ft. Land, site work, septic system, well and utilities would be additional.
LxW Project architectural fees vary based on specific services, starting at 10% of construction cost. We provide a fee estimate and enter into an AIA Owner/Architect agreement before beginning the design document process.

THE LARGE (as shown): Interior Space: 1600square feet. Exterior Deck: +1300 square feet. Shed/Walkway: +350 square feet.
You Land it.
Acquire land. Congratulations!
Spend time on the land. Walk it, see it, breathe it. Sense its nature; the sun, the wind, the terrain, the sounds, the views.
Acquire verified site survey and approved DEP septic perc tests.
Understand site restrictions; setbacks, waterways, easements, topography, outcroppings, access, etc.

We Design it.
We discuss your needs and goals and work with you to make the “just right house”.
We consider the siting of the house on the land, location for utilities (septic, electric, well, propane), driveway access and site grading.
While The Small, The Medium and The Large offer a good range of sizes, each can be customized, hybridized or combined in a variety of configurations and finishes during the design phase.
They Nail it.
LxW Project can recommend prequalified builders or you can choose your own.
We will provide bid/build ready drawings and specifications for builder.
The ideal builder will appreciate the thoughtful consideration that has gone into our material specifications, logical-minimal detailing and practical buildability.
